New courses 2021-2022

  • IHL Accredited Classes – The first change we made is to adapt the name of our courses known as LCI (Lingua e Cultura Italiana) to their true nature, that is a heritage language. Therefore from now on we’ll call them IHL, Italian as a Heritage Language.
  • Starting this school year (2021-2022) IAASD will no longer offer k-6 Italian classes for both IHL (Italian as a heritage language) and IFL (Italian as a foreign language) courses.
  • K-6 Italian classes are instead offered by our sister school Italian School of San Diego, online and in person.
  • Italian School of San Diego uses the succefull programs and curriculum for K-6  designed and implemented by the Italian American Academy.

IAASD accredited classes are offered only online

IAASD offers only accredited classes (7th to 12th grades) online using different educational platforms such as google workspace for education and zoom.

IAASD is now a CILS test center certified by the University of Siena, Italy

Certifications on the mastery of the Italian language are numerous and are issued by the university institutions or by cultural institutions of various kinds (Italian Academy of LanguageDante Alighieri Society). IAASD has obtained recently the certification of CILS test center from the prestigious University of Siena and the school will be able to offer exams to certify your proficiency in Italian language valid for admission into Italian universities, for obtaining work permits, or Italian citizenship.  Stay tuned for the next B1-Cittadinanza test date
